Pack goats are used on backpacking and hiking adventures primarily for their ability to carry heavy loads of gear, food, and supplies across diverse and rugged terrain. They are effective pack animals because they can navigate steep, off-trail environments more easily than horses or llamas, and they also graze on native plants, reducing the need for the hiker to carry feed.
Below are the typical kinds of bookings we imagine you may want, but our desire is to tailor every trip to fit your needs. We can mix and match or get creative, so pricing is flexible. Offering services for trips in Utah and surrounding states.
BACKPACKING & HUNTING TRIPS
Our goats can carry about 50 pounds right now - that means you and your group could carry 50 pounds less yourselves! Hike to your backcountry spot carrying just a day pack or fill your pack with the better gear that you always dreamed you could bring to make camp more comfortable (better chairs, bigger stoves, heavier sleeping gear). Backcountry hunters rent pack goats to carry meat back to camp (and back out) from their kill site.
Everyone can hike at their own pace, either with us in their group for company or we can go ahead/behind your group to give some space (grouping up only to transfer gear as needed). When camping, we can set up close by to provide base camp services, or camp out of sight for privacy.

GEAR DELIVERY FOR OUTDOOR ADVENTURES
Make your trip more enjoyable. Hitting the backcountry for just a daytime activity, but all your gear is extremely heavy? Maybe you wish you could bring more gear with you to maximize your abilities and comfort. Whether it's climbing ropes, photography gear, chairs and tables, or even internet services, let us carry that weight for you!
We can provide Starlink internet in many wilderness locations where you typically lose service. We have lightweight inflatable paddleboards for rent that the goats will carry to remote mountain lake locations where you'd prefer not to carry a board yourself.
Picnics and Dates: Keep it simple and use us to surprise out-of-town visitors with an unforgettable hike in the mountains, with goats to set the vibe, and have us carry food for the group. Great for picnic lunches or romantic dinner dates with incredible views!

PARTIES
Wedding, family reunion, or company retreat? Our pack goats can carry beverages in their saddles and be the cutest waiters you've ever seen at your outdoor venue. It will be the thing everyone leaves the party talking about!
Kid's birthday party? Set up a goat petting area! Our goats are friendly and love getting attention. They are used to being pet, cuddled, and hugged for photos. We have goats ranging in size from small to extra-large boys.

PHOTOSHOOTS
Here at Havoc Ranch, we enjoy the darker side....
Our demon-themed goat pack can be the perfect addition to any dark, gothic, witchy, mythical, or fantastic photoshoot you have planned. We can be a booth at local events, where we will stage a photoshoot area filled with gothic furniture and props to fit a variety of dark themes.
